World Mental Health Congress, London 2022

As President of the World Federation for Mental Health it gives me great pleasure to announce that the 23rd  World Congress of the World Federation for Mental Health will take place in collaboration with our member organisation, the World Dignity Project on:

June 28th to July 1st 2022

Central Hall Westminster, London, UK

Central Hall Westminster, the venue of the 23rd World Congress of the World Federation for Mental Health has a unique place in the history of WFMH. It was here at this prestigious and historical venue that the first International Congress on Mental Health was held in August 1948 leading to the formation of WFMH.

At that time the International Preparatory Commission for the Congress concluded that:

Principles of mental health cannot be successfully furthered in any society unless there is progressive acceptance of the concept of world citizenship. World citizenship can be widely extended among all peoples through the application of principles of mental health.

The 23rd World Congress of the World Federation for Mental Health held in collaboration with the World Dignity Project will re-affirm the founding principles and values of WFMH and bring together experts by lived experience, carers and family members, mental health professionals from all fields, academics and policy makers.

We warmly invite you to participate in the 23rd World Congress of the World Federation for Mental Health and together make Mental Health – A Global Priority.
